Married at 17 to a Cold Husband Who Moved His Mistress In — The Duke Said “Mine”
Chapter 2
Lord Reginald Vane had ignored his wife for six years. It took the attention of a duke to make him finally see her.
He stood near the champagne table with his heavy-lidded eyes narrowing across the room as a murmur rippled through the crowd. The Duke of Ravensmere was speaking to Lady Blackmoor — not merely greeting her, not politely acknowledging her, but speaking to her as though she mattered. The ton noticed everything, and the ton noticed this. Reginald’s jaw tightened. Beside him, Lady Vivienne Trent followed his gaze with sharp amusement.
“Well,” she murmured, lifting her glass. “That is unexpected.”
Reginald said nothing.
Across the ballroom, Rosalind sat beside the Duke of Ravensmere, painfully aware that every eye in London now rested upon them. “Your Grace,” she said carefully. “This attention will cause talk.”
